TRAU FC wins Second Division League, qualifies for I-League

Imphal-based football club Trau FC sealed promotion to the I-League after just one season in the 2nd Division League.

TRAU FC has qualified to the next edition of the Hero I-League after winning the 2018-19 Hero 2nd Division League.

TRAU FC defeated Ozone FC 2-1 at the Khuman Lampak Stadium in Imphal today to clinch the championship with one match left. The Manipuri club has amassed 15 points from 5 matches so far, whereas second-placed Chhinga Veng FC is on 10 points from the same number of games.

Mr. Sunando Dhar, the CEO of I-League, congratulated the club on its promotion.
