Murali Kumar Team Sportstar Chennai 09 April, 2016 13:49 IST The AIFF Disciplinary Committee has taken action against East Bengal defender Arnab Mondal and Mohun Bagan assistant coach Shankarlal Chakraborty on the basis of the complaints lodged against them. Arnab Mondal, who was found guilty of using aggressive/abusive words against Mohun Bagan striker Cornell Glen, is suspended for the next two matches in the I-League and liable to pay a fine of Rs.1 lakh within seven days. Arnab, who has also led the national team, has also been cautioned by the disciplinary committee. Shankarlal Chakraborty, the assistant coach of Mohun Bagan, was given his marching orders by the referee at the Kanchenjunga Stadium on April 2 as he was found to be using offensive language against the officials. Shankarlal has been suspended for two matches in the I-League and fined Rs. 50,000. Shankarlal Chakraborty, who has also represented Mohun Bagan and East Bengal in his short career, has been cautioned by the disciplinary committee from committing such mistakes in future.
