All excited about meeting Pele after more than three decades, Kerala Blasters coach Peter Taylor today became a gushing fan as he recalled the 20 minutes he spent playing against the Brazilian legend way back in 1977.

Pele would be the guest of honour in the ISL match between Kerala and Atletico de Kolkata tomorrow and Taylor could barely hide his excitement of getting to meet the three-time World Cup winner.

It’s a big moment for Kolkata. Pele is a fantastic idol in world football.
“I’ve actually played against him for 20 minutes. It was my proudest moment. I never got the ball (possession) from him. He was a fantastic player. It would be marvellous that he’s watching the match,” Taylor said in the pre-match press conference here.
