It goes with serve for six games before Venus wilts and Serena pounces, converting her third break point of game seven with a backhand return winner. She holds to love for 5-3 and the writing is on the wall for Venus. The elder Williams holds serve to stay in it and with Serena serving for the championship, Venus wins a 24-shot rally, the longest of the match, to put pressure on her sister.
