Karman Kaur Thandi beats Meiling Wang of China 6-4, 6-2 to make the semifinals of the $25,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament in China on Friday.

The 20-year-old Karman, seeded third, will challenge the second seed Yuxuan Zhang of China whom she had beaten recently in the $60,000 event in Luan.

Rutuja Bhosale, however, was beaten 6-4, 6-4 by the fourth seed Fang Ying Xun of China in the quarterfinals.
