Williams matched Steffi Graf's Open Era record of 22 major titles by beating Angelique Kerber on a warm day at the All England Club and later put the icing on the cake by combining with older sister Venus to win the women's doubles title.
Glamour couple Beyonce and Jay Z were in the world number one's box to see their fellow American claim a seventh crown on the grass at SW19 along with an all-star cast in the Royal Box.
Tennis greats Margaret Court, winner of an all-time record 24 major titles, Billie Jean King and Martina Navratilova all witnessed a Williams master class on the penultimate day of the tournament at the All England Club.
McEnroe drew in the crowds as he coached Raonic, who faces Andy Murray in the men's final on Sunday, on court five in the morning, while there was a dramatic climax to a girls' singles final won – eventually – by Anastasia Potapova.

A rainbow shone brightly above Wimbledon on Thursday night and Serena found a pot of gold two days later, picking up £2million for winning the singles final.
The iconic 34-year-old will also be due a share of the £350,000 prize money for her doubles triumph over Timea Babos and Yaroslava Shvedova, so it ought to be a lively night for the Williams family.

Comedian Peter Kay took a seat in the Royal Box to see the top seed have the last laugh, while broadcaster and naturalist David Attenborough saw incredible force of nature Serena lift the Venus Rosewater Dish yet again.
MCENROE DEADLY SERIOUS
There were many "you cannot be serious" rants from tennis great McEnroe during his illustrious plays days, but the American was deadly serious as he put Raonic through his paces.
Left-hander McEnroe has helped Canadian Raonic reach his first major final at SW19 and the seven-time major champion was on court as the pair plotted Murray's downfall on Saturday morning before heading to the commentary box to perform his media duties.
There was still a competitive edge about McEnroe, who starred accusingly at his racket after getting an attempted forehand all wrong.
THIRD TIME LUCKY FOR POTAPOVA
Persistence paid off for Russian youngster Potapova, who celebrated victory over Dayana Yastremska prematurely not once, but twice.
The fourth seed had two 'aces' overruled following challenges from Yastremska, who might have thought luck was on her side before she was eventually consigned to defeat in the girls' singles showdown on number one court.
SUPPORT FOR RAONIC
Raonic did Canada proud when he became the first man from the North American nation to reach a grand slam final by beating Roger Federer.
There was more than one Canadian with a spring in his step a day before his final, a beaming lady in the grounds on Saturday was sporting a cap with the Maple Leaf on the front and spoke of her delight at her compatriot's exploits.
She had taken a call from her Vancouver-based daughter after Raonic's semi-final win, with excitement building ahead of his day of reckoning way beyond SW19.
