How would it be for a wicketkeeper to train with a goalkeeper? Keepers, behind the stumps or in front of the woodwork, are known for their sharp reflexes and a joint training session could bring out the best in them.
At least, that’s what Nottinghamshire wicketkeeper Tom Moores thought when his athletic catches caught the eye of David de Gea — the Manchester United goalkeeper.
Moores, son of former England coach Peter Moores, pulled off a few impossible catches in the Division I of the County Championship. It prompted the authorities to tag the United custodian in a video that highlighted Moores’ heroics.
De Gea approved of Moores’ effort which made the latter ask for a session.
The 27-year-old United star is yet to reply.
