WE HAVE A TIE! Patna Pirates' three-game winning run is snapped, while Tamil Thalaivas extends its unbeaten run to five games.

30-30 It looks like Patna Pirates are content with the tie. Monu Goyat makes the last raid of the game and he seems to be in no mood to pick up any points.

Tamil Thalaivas has already played three draws this year. This, surely, cannot be the fourth!

30-30 Athul MS does indeed go for Shadlou! But while he can't get a touch on the Iranian, he escapes Shubham's challenge and brings his side back to level terms.

Patna Pirates Ram Meher Singh, "Shadlou, the raider wil attack you!"

30-29 Sachin delivers yet again as he outfoxes Mohit.

29-29 Ajinkya runs into a trio of defenders and has to quickly go back to the bench.

28-29 Sagar Krishna strikes and guess who he tackles? Monu Goyat! That will revive Ajinkya.

28-28 Sachin gets the better of the Tamil Thalaivas captain Surjeet and the teams are back on level terms with four minutes to go!

27-28 Shadlou does really to race from the left corner to the right and takes Ajinkya off the mat.

26-28 Sagar finally comes into action as he traps Prashanth in a fine ankle hold.

Tamil Thalaivas skipper Surjeet has just reached the 300 tackle points milestone!

25-27 Ajinkya goes in on the do-or-die raid and picks up two massive points! He gets the better of Monu Goyat and is gifted a point by Sajin, who pretty much walks off-court.

25-25 Guman continues his good show and skips past right corner Aashish's attempted ankle hold. He also bags a bonus point in the process.

Ten minutes to go and Tamil Thalaivas has a two-point lead at 25-23. Can the Tamil Thalaivas hold on to a lead and not squander it like they have on numerous occasions this season?

22-25 Patna Pirates are losing their way here...

22-23 ALL OUT FOR TAMIL THALAIVAS! The side has taken the lead for the first time in a very long time.

21-20 SUPER 10 FOR AJINKYA! He wriggles out of Shadlou's attempted thigh hold and simply brushes past Sunil on his way back.

21-18 Guman Singh comes off the bench and gives Patna Pirates a lifeline with a cheeky toe tuch.

20-18 Ajinkya continues to remain a thorn on the Patna Pirates defence as he skips out of Sachin's challenge. Patna down to two men!

In case you're wondering what Monu Goyat, who is the third-most expensive player in PKL history is capable of, check out this mammoth seven-point raid he scored last week -

20-17 That will serve as a massive boost for Tamil Thalaivas - they've relegated Monu to the bench!

20-16 Superb work from Ajinkya - he takes out Neeraj Kumar and gets a touch on Sajin on his way back

20-13 Prashanth delivers right away! He bags two huge points to extend his side's lead.

Half-time talk - Patna Pirates coach Ram Meher Singh wants Prashanth Kumar Rai to search for the bonus points.

18-12 HALF-TIME! Patna Pirates has dominated the opening half and goes into the interval with a healthy six-point lead. The side has excelled in both departments and has looked at its menacing best. Monu has been the player of the half, bagging seven raid points and a tackle point.

18-11 ALL OUT! Monu Goyat inflicts the All Out and Patna Pirates are firmly in the driver's seat. They've looked sharp in both attack and defence and have settled into a great rhythm.

15-10 Ajinkya Pawar has been tackled by Monu and Tamil Thalaivas are staring at an All Out!

14-10 Monu reduces Tamil Thalaivas to two men! He drags Aashish to the corner and grabs a touch on his jersey.

13-8 Parashanth makes that look so easy! He pushes Sagar Krishna deep into that left corner and then picks up a running hand touch.

12-8 The Patna Pirates defence is no less! Neeraj comes in from the right cover and gets strong support from Shadlou as they get rid of Bhavani.

11-8 The Tamil Thalaivas defence comes good this time as Surjeet wrestles Sachin to the mat with a superb thigh hold.

Tamil Thalaivas have brought on their x-factor - Ajinkya Pawar!

11-7 You don't see that to often! Prashanth, a raider, gets a tackle point as he blocks Athul with a fine move.

10-7 Monu scalps a running hand touch on Tamil Thalaivas' right corner Sagar, who has scored the most tackle points in PKL 8! That's a big one for Patna Pirates.

9-6 Shadlou with a terrific piece of skill! He charges from the left corner and runs the breadth of the court to shove Bhavani off the mat.

8-6 Monu is playing it safe here....he picks up a bonus and steers clear of the Tamil Thalaivas defence.

7-5 Monu Goyat comes in with a great raid as he snatches a bonus point and works his wa past a poor dash from Aashish.

5-5 Speak of Shadlou and he launches into a superb tackle to flatten Himanshu.

Alright so we've just learnt that Chiyaneh is his village's name and not one that he goes by. His jersey has the name Shadlou and we'll go with that.

4-5 It's raining tackle points here and it's the Tamil Thalaivas who pick up another one! The side's skipper Surjeet initiated that move.

Tamil Thalaivas has the second-most tackle points in PKL 8, just one behind Bengaluru Bulls.

3-4 Monu and Sachin have been tackled! Tamil Thalaivas has one of the best defensive units in PKL 8 and they're living up to that.

3-2 Athul gets the better of Chiyaneh yet again! This seems like a tactic straight out of coach Uday Kumar's playbook.

3-1 Prasthanth Rai, the captain, is bang on the money and gets a touch point and a bonus point.

1-1 Athul MS picks up a running hand touch on Patna Pirates' ace defender Mohammadreza Chiyaneh.

1-0 Monu Goyat makes the first raid of the game and bags a bonus point. He's just getting started.

Tamil Thalaivas won the toss and chose the left side of the court, Patna Pirates will raid first.

7:25pm: LINE UPS!

Patna Pirates: Monu Goyat, Mohammadreza Chiyaneh, Neeraj Kumar, Sajin C, Sachin, Prashanth Kumar Rai, Sunil

Tamil Thalaivas: Surjeet Singh, Ashish, Bhavani Rajput, Athul MS, Himanshu Singh, Sagar, Sagar Krihsna

7:20pm: Tamil Thalaivas have lost only one game this season but will consider themselves unlucky to have won only two. The side managed to build a substantial lead in all but one of their six games this season but have failed to capitalise on them. Sumit and Surjeet Singh are in the top three tackle points scorers this season and have been the leaders of that defensive unit.

The raiding trio of Monu Goyat, Prashanth Kumar Rai and Sachin has been the key to the side's success this season. Patna Pirates' defence has also been firing on all cylinders, and the side averages 12.6 tackle points per game - the most in the league this season.
