The Indian skating contingent put up a good showing at the 18th Asian Roller-Skating Championship which concluded on Friday in South Korea.
The Indian skaters who competed in the artistic skating categories, took home 26 medals (3 gold, 13 silver and 10 bronze) by beating tough competition in from Chinese Taipei, China and Japan.
India had a team of 137 skaters from 15 states participating across six categories namely: Speed, Artistic, Inline Freestyle, Inline Hockey, Rink Hockey and skateboarding.
In the individual category, Vikram won a bronze medal in 500m race while Rea Elizabeth won a bronze in the elimination race. In Roller Hockey, the senior quad girls won gold, while in Inline Hockey the junior girls won a silver and the junior boys bagged a bronze.
Speed skaters won in a silver and three bronze medals in relay races.
