Kolkata football giants East Bengal on Tuesday gave lifetime memberships to Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and actress Kajol who were here to promote their recently released film, “Dilwale”.

The membership cards were handed over to the pair onstage by club President Pranab Dasgupta and Secretary Kalyan Majumder. Club t-shirts in yellow and red were also gifted to the duo. Shah Rukh even gave his autograph on a football and posed for a selfie.

“Please know we will definitely be making use of this, you will be seeing us more often,” said Kajol.

“Does that mean I don’t need tickets for the matches now? That I can carry this and come?,” Shah Rukh enquired. “We will be the champions now.”

Shah Rukh enjoyed his time at the stage by dancing and singing along with winners of a contest to popular numbers from his new film. The crowd sang along “Gerua” and “Janam Janam” whenever the video started playing on the background and the Bollywood ‘Badshah’ joined in.

He signed off with a dance with Kajol and his trademark ‘arms wide open’ which left the 30,000-odd crowd mesmerised.
