Leander Paes in partnership with Marcus Daniell of New Zealand beat the fourth seeds Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Purav Raja 6-3, 7-6(4) in the doubles semifinals of the €137,560 Challenger tennis tournament in
Ilkley, England.
In the final, the second seeded Leander and partner are scheduled to play the top seeds Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan.
In the ITF men’s Futures in Harare, Zimbabwe, SD Prajwal was beaten in the singles semifinals by top seed Takanyi Garanganga, but won the doubles title in partenrship with compatriot Rishi Reddy.
It was the maiden professional title for both the players.
