Virat Kohli poses with a few fans after landing in Brisbane today.

The Indian team touched down in Brisbane today ahead of the three-match Twenty20 International series starting Wednesday.

The second and third T20Is will be played on Friday and Sunday, followed by four Tests and three One-Day Internationals.

This will be India's penultimate overseas tour before the 2019 World Cup and head coach Ravi Shastri, speaking at the press conference ahead of the series, said that the "chopping and changing period is over".

“We will try and play close to those 15 that will go to the World Cup," he said.

While the bowlers did well in the last two away tours (England and South Africa), skipper Virat Kohli said that the team has room for improvement — especially the batsmen.

"We understand what we need to work on so it is up to the individuals to take ownership of that,” he said.
