That's it for tonight!
Do join us live during the final test between Australia and India at Brisbane at 5 am tomorrow with live action from Syed Mushtaq Ali beginning at 12 pm.

The Result: A 73-run partnership for the fifth wicket between Shreevats Goswami and Writtick Chatterjee led Bengal to its third win of the tournament and has gone level with Tamil Nadu in Group B. Hyderabad, who batted first, never got its innings flowing with Bengal pacers Ishan Porel and Akash Deep picking four wickets apiece.

In reply, in-form Bengal opener provided his side a blistering side before falling within the powerplay. Bengal soon found itself in a spot of bother with three more wickets falling in a heap. Goswami held one end tight with his stroke-filled innings eventually taking Bengal to a comfortable win.

And there it comes!
A comfortable win in the end for Bengal as Writtick Chatterjee hits the winning runs. Bengal gets its third consecutive win.

Bengal 157/4 after 18 overs: Goswami smashes another boundary. The scores are level.

150 up for Bengal, seven runs to win.

Bengal 145/4 after 17 overs: 50-run partnership between Goswami and Chatterjee. Chatterjee seems to be in a hurry, smashing Kartikeya Kak for a six and a boundary off successive deliveries.

Bengal 133/4 after 16 overs: The runs are flowing. This is turning out to be an easy finish for Bengal even as it seemed to have lost its way a bit during the middle-overs.

Bengal 117/4 after 14 overs: FIFTY for Goswami! He has held one end tight with a classical knock. The wickets have tumbled but he has played his natural strokes on his way to an important half-century with eight boundaries.

Bengal 100/4 after 12 overs: Ravi Teja is a distraught man. He induced another mistake, this time of Writtick Chatterjee who offers an easy catch with a poor shot. Himalay Agarwal runs in from long-on and spills an easy catch. Teja kneels down and stays in dismay for a good two minutes in absolute disbelief.

Bengal 88/4 after 10 overs: The runs were flowing despite the flurry of wickets and just on the stroke of reaching the halfway mark, Kaif Ahmed has gifted a simple catch to Ravi Teja off his own bowling. Kaif Ahmed c & b Ravi Teja 10

Bengal 70/3 after 8 overs: A brilliant start from Ravi Teja. He hits the hard line and the veteran Manoj Tiwary nicks a fine delivery to the keeper. Kaif Ahmed, the incoming batsman, has luckily survived a couple of excellent balls from Teja in his first over. Has this drawn Hyderabad back into the match? Manoj Tiwary c Pragnay Reddy b Ravi Teja 0

Bengal 69/2 after 7 overs: A needless sign of aggression from Anistup Majumdar. Thyagarajan had kept the run flow for once under control. Majumdar steps out and misses the ball and the wicketkeeper does the rest. Anustup Majumdar st †Pragnay Reddy b Thyagarajan 16

Bengal 65/1 after 6 overs: This time it's Goswami who punishes the Hyderabad bowlers. The veteran has slashed boundaries to square off either side of the wicket off successive deliveries as Bengal finishes the Powerplay on a high.

Bengal 56/1 after 5 overs: Skipper Majumdar latches on to the backfoot to master a classical pull shot for six after cracking another boundary off Yudhvir Singh. A strong start for Bengal in the Powerplay.

Bengal 39/1 after 4 overs: And finally, Vivek Singh has been dismissed in this tournament. It was an iffy start for him tonight with a lot of streaky boundaries. Kak has returned to provide the breakthrough. Vivek Singh b Kartikeya Kak 26

Bengal 28/0 after 2 overs: Vivek is cashing on in his fine touch. Kartikeya Kak is hit for three boundaries after beating Vivek twice in the over. The left hander was inititally trying for the horizontal strokes but was quick to realise his mistake.

Bengal 15/0 after 1 over: Vivek Singh has gone after the attack from the start. The southpaw has slashed three boundaries off Milind and is continuing his fine run in the tournament at the start of this chase.

Bengal chase underway.... The in-form Vivek Singh and Shreevats Goswami walk out for Bengal. Chama Milind with the ball

End of Innings - Hyderabad 157/8 after 20 overs:
Ishan Porel completes another fine outing! Finishes the Hyderabad innings with two wickets in the over. Hyderabad has struggled to keep its partnerships going and has barely managed to reach a respectable total.  Chama Milind c Nandi b Porel 5, Yudhvir Singh c Akash Deep b Porel 6

Hyderabad 151/8 after 19 overs: Himalay Agarwal smashes Akash for a six and a boundary and has holed out with another catch to Shreevats Goswami. His late surge has saved some blemish for Hyderabad having crossed 150.  Himalay Agarwal c †Goswami b Akash Deep 27

Hyderabad 138/7 after 18 overs: Ishan Porel returns to the attack and is hit by a strong shot by Thyagarajan. He winced in pain before returning to remove the batsmen of the very next ball. Shreevats Goswami takes another fine catch. Tanay Thyagarajan c †Goswami b Porel 8

Hyderabad 129/6 after 17 overs: Himalay Agarwal is dropped by Anistup Majumdar. He makes them pay by smashing a six over long-off.

Hyderabad 118/6 after 16 overs: A SENSATIONAL catch from Shreevats Goswami to dismiss Ravi Teja. Akash Deep gets his third of the night. A short ball moving towards off and the left-hander nicks a healthy edge. The ball travels past Goswami who snatches it with a full-length dive to his left!  Ravi Teja c †Goswami b Akash Deep 1

Hyderabad 112/5 after 15 overs: The runs have just trickled down for Hyderabad. Mukesh Kumar rushes through the over with ease and gives away only twon runs.

Hyderabad 110/5 after 14 overs: Shahbaz Ahmed has got a late introduction but has made a quick impact by taking another wicket. Hyderabad has lost half its men now. Rahul Buddhi tries the slog sweep but finds the man straight at deep midwicket. Even 150 looks a bit beyond its grasp.  Rahul Buddhi c Kaif Ahmed b Shahbaz Ahmed 13

Hyderabad 102/4 after 13 overs: Manoj Tiwary has kept it tight but has lent another eight-run over. Rahul Buddhi and Himalay Agarwal have a task up their sleeves.

Hyderabad 94/4 after 12 overs: A disastrous over for Hyderabad as it has lost both of its set batsmen, Tilak Verma after a quick-fire 50 and Sandeep to loose shots against Akash Deep. Tilak Varma c †Goswami b Akash Deep 50, Bavanaka Sandeep c Vivek Singh b Akash Deep 20

Hyderabad 86/2 after 11 overs: Manoj Tiwary comes into the attack. With Writtick and Mukesh leaking a few runs in the previous overs, Tiwary has come in and given eight runs with a peculiar round-arm action!

Hyderabad 79/2 after 10 overs: The two left-handers are building a steady partnership. The runs are finally flowing and 18 runs have come in the last two overs.

Hyderabad 61/2 after 8 overs: Tilak Verma has switched the gears! He has countered Arnab's tight line by moving to the backfoot and punching it square and down the ground for successive boundaries.

Hyderabad 49/2 after 7 overs: Bengal has wound a tight rope around the batsmen here. Writtick Chatterjee steams through his first over as Sandeep and Tilak struggle to time the ball.

Hyderabad 40/2 after 6 overs: A stellar over from Arnab Nandi to finish the Powerplay for Bengal.  He has removed the Hyderabad skipper who tried to sweep on an accurate line to the stumps and hits the pad. Bengal has begun well tonight. Tanmay Agarwal lbw b Nandi 19

Hyderabad 38/1 after 5 overs: The Hyderabad batsmen have taken the gamble to slash hard at it against Mukesh Kumar. They are lucky to get two boundaries to the tally as both batsmen got away with two streaky shots.

Hyderabad 23/1 after 4 overs: An excellent over from Porel within the Powerplay. He has restricted the batsmen from making a move on.

Hyderabad 19/1 after 3 overs:  Akash Deep comes into the attack and Tilak Verma struck two delightful boundaries.  He first slashed a wide delivery through point while smacking another stroke through square leg.

Hyderabad 10/1 after 2 overs: Ishan Porel enters the attack and makes an instant difference. He rushes on a short delivery to Pragnay who tries to pull off the front foot. The ball lobs straight down the ground and Akash Deep completed an excellent diving catch. Pragnay Reddy c Akash Deep b Porel 0

Hyderabad 5/0 after 1 over: Bengal opened the bowling with offie Arnab Nandi. He keeps the bowling tight up front and gives away only five from the over.

Match underway! Hyderabad openers, skipper Tanmay Agarwal and Pragnay Reddy walks to the crease. Arnab Nandi into the attack for Bengal.

Meanwhile, here is a recap of all the action from the afternoon games:

Result: Tamil Nadu beats Odisha by 8 wickets, registers third consecutive win.

Points: Tamil Nadu 4 | Odisha 0

What a fine win by Tamil Nadu as the Dinesh Karthik-led side registers third consecutive win and remains on top of Elite Group B with 12 points from three matches. Odisha was never in the game after posting just 132 and in reply, N Jagadeesan scored his second consecutive half-century to hand his side an easy win. Odisha staring at an early exit.

Tamil Nadu 104/1 after 12 overs: The 100 is up for Tamil Nadu and the shoulders have strated dropping in the Odisha camp as the body language suggests they have almost given up. Arun Karthik smacks Ankitkar Jaiswal for a maximum right over the sightscreen as Tamil Nadu is en route to register its third win on the trot.

Tamil Nadu 83/1 after 10 overs: Back to back half-centuries for N Jagadeesan and his knock has put Tamil Nadu on top of this run chase. Papu Roy made a breakthrough by dismissing Hari Nishaanth but Jagadeesan with four boundaries and three sixes has kept Odisha at bay. He is joined by K.B. Arun Karthik with Tamil Nadu requiring 44 runs to win.

Tamil Nadu 48/0 after 5 overs: The openers have so far hit eight fours and two sixes. It's been a rapid start to the chase.

Tamil Nadu 11/0 after 2 overs: N Jagadeesan and Hari Nishaanth are off the mark as Tamil Nadu chases 131 to remain on top of the table and record its third consecutive win. Odisha needs early wickets to make a comeback into the match after positing a mere 130.

End of Innings: Odisha 132/9 after 20 Overs: Top stuff from Tamil Nadu and they will be a happy lot as they require just 131 runs to register their third win on the trot. Odisha got a good start but the rest faltered and the side lost wickets at regular intervals. It was a good bowling show with Murugan Ashwin, being the pick of the bowlers with three wickets and Ashwin Crist and M Mohammed sharing four wickets among themselves. It should be an easy chase for Tamil Nadu.

Odisha 124/6 after 18 overs: Suryakant Pandhan has hit some lusty blows with tow huge sixes to give Odisha some vital runs. With two more overs, Odisha will aim to get to at least 140 and give their bowlers something to bowl at.

Odisha 93/5 after 15 overs: The experienced Tamil Nadu bowlers have tied down the Odisha batsmen and there is absolutely no momentum what so ever. The spin of Murugan Ashwin has left the batsmen clueless and skipper Dinesh Karthik as been exceptional in rotating his bowlers.

Odisha 83/5 after 13 overs: Odisha continue to slip as skipper Biplab Samantray falls follows Rajesh Dhuper and not a single batsman is willing to spend some time at the crease. The ball is coming nicely on to the bat but Odisha's top-order has been guilty of playing poor shots and lacked application. Tamil Nadu bossing the game.

Odisha 66/2 after 10 overs: Halfway stage and Odisha just going above six and they need to go at 10 per over to get to at least 166 as anything less than that will not pose much a challenge to Tamil Nadu who are unbeaten so far in the tournament.

Odisha 53/2 after 8 overs: The fifty comes for Odisha and they are going at 6.62 runs per over and after the fall of Gaurav Choudhary, Odisha has lacked momentum and they need some good overs to compensate for the loss of two wickets. Spinners Murugan Ashwin and Sai Kishore have applied brakes on the batting and the boundaries have dried up.

Odisha 43/2 after 5 overs: Tamil Nadu strikes as spinner Sai Kishore and fast bowler Ashwi Crist strike to remove Gaurav and former skipper Govind Poddar. Odisha if off to a good start after winning the toss but it lost opener Gaurav who went on attack. Subhranshu Senapati is the new man in and he joins Dhuper. There isn't much turn nor swing on offer and Odisha needs to bat sensibly to post a challenging total against a strong Tamil Nadu side.

Odisha 30/0 after 3 overs: Gaurav has been severe on Tamil Nadu bowlers and especially on Ashwin Christ as he smacked the fast bowler for 18 runs in the second over to give Odisha a brilliant start. Dhuper, meanwhile has been playing the role of second fiddle and allowing his partner to go on the attack. Tamil Nadu needs a breakthrough.

Odisha 1/0 after 1 over: Sandeep Warrier begins proceedings for Tamil Nadu in a fine fashion as Gaurav Choudhary and Rajesh Dhuper open the batting for Odisha. Tamil Nadu almost had their first wicket as a direct hit from mid-on could have packed off Gaurav. Dhuper is yet to open his account in what is a must-win tie for Odisha.

At the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Odisha won the toss and opted to bat first against Tamil Nadu

Kerala's Mohammed Azharudden stamps his class

At the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, Mohammed Azharudden became the first T20 centurion for Kerala as he hammered a 37-ball ton to guide the team to a convincing win against Mumbai.

The seasoned campaigner - who has been in the circuit for the last six years - surpassed Rohan Prem’s previous top-score of 92 not out and ensured that Kerala remained undefeated in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy: Azharuddeen guides Kerala to big win over Mumbai

While he toyed with the Mumbai bowlers en route 137 off 54 deliveries, the Kerala camp looked excited with Azharudden’s feat.

A wicketkeeper-batsman, Azharuddeen made it to Kerala’s first-class side in 2015 and has been quite a consistent performer since.

Syed Mushtaq Ali T20: Delhi records second successive win, beats Andhra by six wickets

The  Delhi  pace trio continued to run through the opposition batting line-up without any fuss to set up its second convincing win in as many outings in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on Wednesday. Thanks to the pacers sharing seven wickets between them, Delhi outclassed  Andhra  by six wickets and three overs to spare at the Wankhede Stadium.

With its second facile win in three days,  Shikhar Dhawan  and Co. top the Group E standings, with a healthy net run rate. If Monday saw Delhi strangulate Mumbai’s top-order while defending a gargantuan total, on Wednesday, the pacers justified captain Dhawan’s faith in them while electing to field first. Where to watch?
